I am based in Etobicoke, Ontario. While I primarily offer lifestyle, elopement and event photography coverage in the Greater Toronto and Hamilton Area, I’m open to traveling to different locations within Ontario, depending on the distance. I am not currently providing photography services outside of Ontario.

Yes, I am triple vaccinated.

I have experience shooting at various venues and locations across Ontario especially in the Greater Toronto and Hamilton Area. You can simply visit my blog and search your venue/location name in the search box and see for yourself.

I actually prefer shooting at new and exciting places, as I’m always thrilled to explore fresh surroundings. Rest assured, I have full confidence in my ability to capture your special day beautifully, regardless of the location. I’ll dedicate time and research your destination and arrive well in advance to scout the location, ensuring I’m fully prepared.

For outdoor shoots, clients must have an indoor/covered backup location planned incase of bad weather which could pose as a safety risk.

I am capable of shooting in conditions of moderate rain/snow when necessary.

Feel free to share any ideas or inspiration you have with me. I cannot promise that I can create exactly what you are envisioning but I will try my best. If there is anything I am unable to do I will let you know clearly, as I don’t want you to have expectations I cannot meet.

I WILL give you gentle guidance and direct you into natural poses throughout your photoshoot. I will give you suggestions on where and how to sit, stand and place your hands. I will also give you various prompts to help you feel at ease in front of the camera.

I WILL NOT force you to do anything you are uncomfortable with or that feels unnatural to you. I want to capture the real you and I do not wish to stifle you. I want your personality to shine through in your photographs.

My editing includes color correction, adjustment to exposure, brightness/contrast, and hue/saturation.

My retouching includes stray hair removal, blemish removal, shine reduction, wrinkle reduction, teeth whitening, eye whitening, and decreasing glare from glasses.

While I cannot provide an absolute guarantee of photo safety, I implement several precautionary measures to enhance their protection.

Backup Equipment: I carry backup cameras and lenses to prevent any disruptions due to equipment failures.

Travel Care: When on the move, I use protective cases and bags for my gear, minimizing damage or theft risks.

Secure Storage: Your images are stored in multiple secure locations, reducing the risk of loss.

Cloud Backup: I use cloud storage to safeguard against physical storage issues and ensure accessibility.

My turnaround time changes depending on the time of year. An exact time frame will be provided prior to booking.

With a print release form you DO have the permission to print your photos.

You DO NOT have permission to sell the pictures for profit, or publish the pictures without giving me-the photographer, credit.

A model release is permission you grant me-the photographer, to use your photographs in places such as my portfolio, social media, contests and advertisements.

Your consent to share and use your images is very valuable to me. Without being able to show future clients my past work, you and others would be unable to judge my art and see what I can create. Additionally, I would be unable to market myself and my services.

Details of my policies and procedures are are outlined in my contract, which will be provided and thoroughly reviewed with you prior to booking.

We will have a phone consultation before booking your photoshoot to get to know one another and to ensure we are on the same page. After this if you would still like to meet we can certainly video chat beforehand as well.

Just contact me and we will take it from there. You can also visit my investment page and get an idea of what to expect from there.

Lifestyle Photography FAQ

general Lifestyle Photography FAQ

Where you choose to do your photoshoot is a personal decision that will be unique to each individual. Everyone has their own preference just like every photographer has their own style. I offer different options and give you a choice instead of trying to convince you what you should or should not like.

If you cannot decide what to choose, we can combine different style and location options together. If you want pictures both indoors and outdoors, we can easily shoot inside your home, then outside in your back/front yard or a nearby park so you can have the best of both worlds.

For outdoor lifestyle photography, the location should be chosen by you. This type of photography is meant to be a reflection of you and your life. Capturing photographs of you and your loved ones at your favourite spot, where you enjoy spending time together is incredibly meaningful. It is also apart of what makes your images invaluable.

For outdoor lifestyle photography, we can shoot wherever you like in the GTHA, whether that’s a park, beach, downtown or another location you love or visit often. I can also provide you with a list of locations to consider if you are unable to choose.

As an experienced Toronto lifestyle photographer, I am able to shoot at different times of the day. However, the best time of day for an outdoor lifestyle photoshoot is during golden hour. Golden hour is a couple of hours before sunset and a couple of hours after sunrise. During this time the sun is low and the light is soft and warm, unlike midday sun. Additionally, parks tend to be less busy early in the morning which can give us more freedom.

I suggest to avoid shooting during the middle of the day if possible. Bright midday sun can create strong contrast and shadows and can also cause squinting, sweating and exhaustion.

Do not worry if the sun is not shinning and it is cloudy on the day of your photoshoot. On overcast days we can shoot anytime before the evening as we do not have to worry about the sun. The light is soft and flattering on days like these.

The best time for in-home lifestyle photography is anytime during the day before the evening. This way we can make use of the beautiful natural light coming into your home.

Once your photoshoot has been booked you will receive a prep guide. This guide will include helpful tips on how to best prepare yourself for your lifestyle photoshoot.

Once your photoshoot has been booked, you will receive a prep guide with style and clothing recommendations. You are however free to choose to wear whatever you like, as I want you to look and feel like yourselves during your photoshoot.

At the current moment I do not offer a client closet.

Investing in hair and makeup is suggested but not mandatory.

As a lifestyle photographer, I do not use props, accessories or elaborate setups in my photography. However, you are free to bring along any props you like and I will try my best to incorporate them in your shoot.

Lifestyle Pet Photography FAQ

You can include up to two pets in your photoshoot as part of your package. If you wish to bring more than two pets, there will be an additional charge due to the increased workload associated with multiple pets.

I specialize in photographing both pets and people so you are welcome to be in the photos. While the primary focus of the session will be on your pets, I’d also like to capture the special bond between you and your furry friend.

While it’s wonderful if your dog can follow basic commands, it’s not a prerequisite. I aim to capture your dog’s genuine self during the session. I want to showcase their true personality, not just picture-perfect poses.

Ensuring your pet’s safety is my top priority. If you have concerns about potential distractions at the location we will be shooting in, I recommend keeping your dog on a leash. It’s best to use thin leads as they can be easily removed during the post-processing of your images.

I understand that your pet may need time to adjust to new people. Rest assured, I strive to create a relaxed and stress-free atmosphere during the photoshoot. I’m patient and respectful, and I won’t push your pet into anything they’re not comfortable with. Your pet’s comfort and well-being are a top priority.

I completely understand your urgency, especially if your pet is elderly or unwell. Rest assured, I’m here to accommodate your needs, and I’ll do everything possible to schedule a photoshoot for your pet as soon as possible.

I understand the challenge of photographing pets with black fur, having owned several black cats myself. However, as a professional pet photographer, I have the expertise to work effectively with pets of any fur color, ensuring great photos regardless of their coat color.

Yes, we can do a pet photoshoot indoors or outdoors.

At the moment, I specialize in photographing cats and dogs, but I’m open to working with other animals as well. Feel free to reach out and inquire about photographing different types of pets.

Lifestyle Maternity Photography FAQ

Between 7-8 months or 30 weeks pregnant is the best time to have your maternity photoshoot. At this point your belly will be big but not too heavy where posing will be uncomfortable.

I do not provide gowns and other accessories. Once you book your maternity session with me, you will receive a prep guide which will have clothing recommendations that will be flattering for your body and bump.

Lifestyle Newborn Photography FAQ

It’s best to book your newborn photoshoot before the baby is born to ensure availability. I can book you tentatively on your due date and after your delivery we can decide on a definitive date.

If you haven’t booked a newborn session with me and you have already delivered, I can try my best to make availability for you, so please do not hesitate to contact me.

With my flexible approach to newborn photography, photos can be taken anytime within the first six weeks after birth. The best time is within the first two weeks, as during this time your baby will be more calm, sleepy and cooperative throughout the session. If you miss the two week mark, there is no need to worry, it is not necessary to shoot at that stage only. In the weeks afterwards, your baby will be more awake and alert, and you’ll be able to capture some of their personality as well.

I have a hands-off approach when it comes to newborn photography. I will not be touching or handling your baby, or putting them in any complicated poses. I will ask you or your partner to place them in simple positions if needed but in no way that will put them in danger.

Lifestyle Family & Milestone Photography FAQ

Sooner rather than later is always better. At times, I am available for last minute shoots as well, so please do not hesitate to contact me.

Milestone photoshoots typically occur at the 3, 6, 9, and 12-month marks of a baby’s growth and development.

During these stages:

3-6 Months: Baby may be able to roll over onto their tummy.

6-9 Months: Baby may start to crawl and sit up on their own.

9-12 Months: Baby may be capable of standing and taking their first steps.

To ensure these milestones are captured, I recommend booking all the photoshoots in advance. It’s a good idea to schedule them before the baby reaches each milestone or at least a month prior to each milestone.

I implore all parents not to feel stressed or guilty if your children are not on their best behaviour throughout our time together. Uncooperative children during photoshoots are more common than you may think. I always remain relaxed, patient and kind when working with your kids. I let your kids lead the session and I want you to interact with one another as you would regularly

I will not tame your children, I want them to be free and be themselves. I want to capture your children’s unique, individual personalities so you can remember exactly who they were in this moment in time. Some kids are very hyper and talkative, some are incredibly shy and quiet, and some start sulking and throwing tantrums in front of the camera. I don’t see these personalities and behaviours as problematic, it’s who they are in that moment and I don’t want them to be any different.

Elopement Photography FAQ

It is best to reach out and confirm my availability as soon as you’ve decided on a wedding date. At times, I am available last minute as well, so please do not hesitate to contact me even if you feel it is too close to your wedding date.

It is quite common for people to feel uncomfortable in front of the camera. That’s why having an engagement photoshoot is a great idea. It helps you get to know your wedding photographer and become more at ease with being photographed.

Unfortunately, booking an engagement or couples photoshoot for your elopement isn’t feasible. Elopements require a more comprehensive scope of work, even if they are simple, and your wedding day deserves the full experience!

Absolutely, I am more than happy to share a full wedding gallery after our initial consultation phone call.

The amount of photo coverage needed on an elopement day varies from couple to couple. I provide different packages to cater to your specific requirements. The extent of coverage you choose will depend on the unique plans you have for your day. Remember, an elopement is all about creating lasting memories, not just a brief photoshoot.

Elopements can be breathtaking, and you don’t need to go on a hike to discover a stunning location. In the Greater Toronto and Hamilton Area, you’ll find numerous beautiful spots just a short walk from the parking lot. The level of complexity for your elopement is entirely up to you.

For some eloping couples, a city elopement, or a backyard wedding may be more appealing than the wilderness. Customize your elopement to reflect your preferences and personalities, ensuring that it feels authentic and not like a performance.

When eloping, it’s essential to select a location that holds significance for you and your significant other. It’s also an excellent opportunity to explore a place you’ve never ventured before.

I define elopements as weddings with up to 10 guests. Weddings with larger guest lists aren’t typically within my scope and would be considered to be a small/intimate/micro wedding. That being said, your elopement day is all about your preferences. If you wish to have your family and friends present as you begin this new journey, absolutely invite them. You can spend the entire day with them or include them in specific parts of the day only, the choice is yours. Keep in mind, there are no strict rules, this is your day.

I don’t provide a fixed number of photos as it varies based on several factors. Typically, I deliver around 30-60 images per hour. I meticulously curate the best shots to craft a comprehensive story of your day. I aim to provide quality without overwhelming you with excess photos.

In Ontario, if you plan to get legally married the same day you elope you will need an officiant and two witnesses. If you are not wanting to invite any guests your officiant might be able to hire witnesses for you.

For more information, rules, and regulations on eloping in ontario visit https://www.ontario.ca/page/getting-married.

Absolutely! As a Toronto pet photographer, I wholeheartedly encourage you to include your pets in your elopement. Just ensure that your chosen location permits pets.

The beauty of eloping lies in your ability to customize every aspect to your liking. If dealing with the legalities and paperwork on the same day as saying your vows isn’t your preference, you don’t have to do it. Some couples opt to handle the legalities separately, either before or after their elopement, often in their home with required witnesses or officiants. This approach doesn’t change the significance of your elopement. This option can be especially useful if you wish to keep your elopement day more intimate, with just your photographer present, or if you’re not originally from Ontario and don’t want to deal with the legalities of getting married in a foreign place.

Plan your elopement according to your wishes and your terms. Focus on celebrating your love, and remember that the day you sign your wedding license doesn’t have to coincide with the day you exchange vows and commit to each other. Your intention, love, and desire to be with your partner are what truly matter.

Not necessarily. While the actual elopement day may be shorter due to fewer logistical concerns with a smaller guest list, the focus shifts to cherishing all the meaningful moments. By dedicating time and attention to these moments, you might discover that your elopement day feels longer and more memorable than expected. An elopement day is more than just a photoshoot, it encompasses the intricate details, your unique love story, personal adventures, and much more.

Along with being a Toronto elopement photographer I am also a Toronto lifestyle photographer. I offer several different photoshoot options including engagement and couples photography.

I will be the only one photographing your elopement and working with you from beginning to end. I have over a decade of experience covering all kinds of weddings. However, If you feel your elopement will require more than one photographer consider hiring a photography team.
